Choosing the correct shrink wrapping machinery
Shrink wrapping machinery covers several different machine types. For grouped products, trays, bottles, cans and transit packs, a sleeve sealer with a shrink tunnel is often more relevant than a chamber machine or an L sealer.
The correct route should be based on pack format, output, film type, operator input and line integration. Lancing can help compare whether your project needs a sleeve sealer, L sealer, shrink tunnel, conveyors or a wider packaging line.
Common routes
- Sleeve sealers for multipacks, trays and grouped products.
- L sealers for many individual product shrink wrapping applications.
- Heat shrink tunnels for the final shrink finish.
- Conveyors and integration for production line flow.
- PE film routes for transit and multipack shrink wrapping.
| Sleeve sealer | Often used for grouped packs, bottles, cans, trays and cartons. |
|---|---|
| L sealer | Often used for individual products or packs requiring enclosed film sealing. |
| Shrink tunnel | Applies heat after sealing to tighten the film around the pack. |
