What bundling shrink wrapping means
A bundling shrink wrap machine groups products and wraps them with film so they can be handled as one pack. For many grouped products, a sleeve sealer and shrink tunnel route is the practical starting point.
Applications include bottles, cans, cartons, trays, tubs, tins and other products that need containment without a fully closed bag around every side.
Choosing the correct level of automation
The automation level depends on how products are grouped before wrapping. Manual collation with semi-automatic sealing may suit lower volumes. Automatic sleeve sealing is more relevant where packs are consistent and line speed matters.
Side-feed systems can help when the product group needs to be formed before it enters the shrink tunnel route.
Pack data for specification
Bundling applications depend heavily on pack count, pack stability and the way products touch each other. Send photographs, pack sketches, product weights and output targets to make the quote more accurate.
Lancing can then advise on the sleeve sealer, tunnel and conveyor approach for the bundling requirement.
Quote route and specification checklist
| Bundle detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Product count | Controls film width and pack footprint. |
| Product contact | Affects stability during shrinking. |
| Pack weight | Controls conveyors and tunnel belt selection. |
| Output target | Influences semi-automatic or automatic route. |
