A good layout protects pack flow before and after the wrapper
A sleeve sealer line layout should give products enough space to form a stable bundle, allow the wrapper and tunnel to run at a controlled pitch, and give warm packs enough support after the tunnel before accumulation or handling.
The layout is normally decided by more than the footprint of the sleeve sealer. Conveyor height, product orientation, pack stability, film roll access, tunnel heat, cooling distance, discharge direction, guarding and operator walkways can all decide whether the installed line is easy to run.

Practical line-layout sequence
- Draw the product route from upstream equipment to final discharge.
- Mark the largest pack, heaviest pack and least stable pack on the layout.
- Confirm conveyor heights and transfer directions at each interface.
- Allow access for film changes, cleaning, adjustments and fault clearing.
- Include cooling distance before packs are stacked, lifted or accumulated.
- Check utilities, heat, ventilation and guarding around the tunnel.
Questions buyers ask about line layout
Can a sleeve sealer be installed after an existing filler or labeller?
Yes, a sleeve sealer can often be integrated after existing upstream equipment, but the product must arrive with suitable spacing, orientation and stability for collation and film wrapping.
The interface should be checked with drawings or photos of the existing line, conveyor height, transfer direction and available accumulation.
Why does cooling distance matter after the shrink tunnel?
Cooling distance matters because the PE film can still be soft when it leaves the tunnel, and unsupported accumulation or lifting can distort the finished bundle.
