Sleeve sealer site preparation and utilities guide

Plan the complete wrapper, tunnel, cooling and conveyor envelope before delivery rather than checking only the machine footprint.

Start with the operating and access envelope

The published machine dimensions are only one part of a sleeve sealer installation. The layout also needs space for film rolls, doors and guards, operator loading, control access, product changeover, cleaning, maintenance, electrical isolation and removal of parts where required. Include the tunnel discharge and cooling length because a bundle may still be hot and vulnerable when it leaves the heated zone.

Check the complete delivery route from the vehicle to the final position. Record doors, corridors, corners, roof height, floor loading, lifting restrictions and any need to split modules. Confirm working height and product-flow direction against existing conveyors. A drawing should show fixed columns, walls, drains, services, fire routes and other equipment rather than a clear rectangular floor area alone.

Safety and maintenanceCan guards open, energy be isolated, hot areas cool and routine maintenance be completed without obstructing walkways or adjacent machines?
EnvironmentAre washdown, dust, corrosive products, cold conditions, hygiene zoning or other site conditions relevant to the final design?

Utilities must match the final configuration

Do not size site services from a photograph or a similar model. Use the final agreed electrical schedule and utility drawing, including the shrink tunnel and any conveyors, cooling fans, powered film feed or product-collation equipment. Confirm simultaneous load, cable route and local isolation with competent site personnel. Where compressed air is required, assess pressure at the point of use while the line is operating, not only at the compressor.

The current LU-SPL4 and LU-BSPN6040 pages provide reference data, but final site requirements depend on the selected scope and supply voltage. Record every open item on the layout and close it before delivery. Site changes made after approval can affect conveyor length, access, commissioning time and the ability to achieve the trialled pack condition.
