When to use a sleeve wrapping machine
A sleeve wrapping machine is used when a product or group of products needs to be held together by a film sleeve before the pack travels through a shrink tunnel. This makes it suitable for multipacks, trays, cartons, bottles, cans and longer products where a full bagging style shrink wrapper is not the right machine route.
The sleeve wrapper must be specified around the product presentation. A stable tray pack, a trayless bottle bundle and a grouped carton pack can all require different infeed handling, film widths, sealing jaws and tunnel settings.
Lancing can help match the sleeve wrapping machine, tunnel, conveyors and handover points to the production process so the finished pack is stable, repeatable and suitable for transport or retail handling.
