Carton wrapping applications
Cartons may be wrapped as individual transit packs or grouped into bundles. Sleeve sealing is usually considered where the pack needs film around the group rather than a fully sealed retail bag.
The sleeve sealer and tunnel should be selected around carton size, weight, stability and the number of cartons per pack.
Flat-sided products and tunnel finish
Flat-sided cartons can be easier to guide than round bottles, but they can still be affected by sharp corners, light weight or tall profiles. The tunnel needs to shrink film neatly around the edges without crushing or distorting the pack.
Film thickness and corner shrink quality should be discussed before selecting the machine.
Line integration considerations
Carton shrink wrapping may sit after case packing, labelling or product grouping. Conveyor height, pack spacing and discharge handling affect the machine route.
Lancing can review the carton pack and advise whether an inline or side-feed sleeve sealer is the better starting point.

|---|---|
| Carton size | Determines film width and tunnel aperture. |
| Pack count | Affects pack footprint and stability. |
| Corner profile | Influences shrink finish and film tension. |
| Line position | Controls conveyor and integration needs. |
